A prize pool that collects a small share of every eligible spin across all accounts playing that title. The pooled total climbs continuously until one qualifying round triggers the payout.

A must-drop condition forces the prize to pay out before it reaches a set ceiling. The game provider sets that ceiling; it is published in the title's paytable or feature screen.

The starting value a prize pool resets to after it has been won. The seed amount is set by the provider; it appears in the game lobby once the new pool begins building.

A bet placed at the minimum stake required for that game's jackpot feature to be active. Spins below the qualifying threshold contribute to the pool but cannot trigger the prize round.

Jackpot slots often run multiple prize tiers — mini, minor, major, and grand. Lower tiers hit more frequently at smaller amounts; the grand tier accumulates for longer before triggering.

A measure of how unpredictably the jackpot triggers relative to its current size. High-volatility pools can run well past their average hit point before a qualifying round fires.
